Benefits of Playing Tibetan Bowls on the Body
When played directly on the body, Tibetan bowls transmit healing sound vibrations that can help release tension, stimulate energy flow and restore harmony. The direct contact amplifies the therapeutic effects and allows clients to physically experience the full resonance of the bowls.
Meinl singing bowls have a fascinating, multi-layered and colorful sound that resonates deeply within the soul. Over a rich fundamental tone, entire waterfalls of singing overtones emerge to float freely in space and unfurl inside the body.
Medium felt mallets are included in these sets to soften the strike while still maintaining resonance. Traditional beaters are not recommended for this class. These are sold separately if you already have bowls you would prefer to use. If you also play crystal bowls around the body, you might like a double mallet (includes both felt and silicone ends). Medium felt mallet is 12.9" and double mallet is 11.8".
Suction cup handles can be applied to the inside of the bowl, allowing you to strike and move the bowl along energetic channels of the body. These are also sold separately in the event you already have bowls. This handle works best on a bowl between 600-800 grams (6-7.5") as a larger bowl will be too heavy to suction. Handle length is 7.9" and silicone pad is 3" in diameter.
